5 Days more Till our Walk for Autism!!!

Yup. It's our first ever Walk and the journey of organizing the event has been remarkable. I truly believe that this event has strengthened unity among our EAP Malaysia family as it is our daily goal to fight autism and we want the public to know what autism is all about. We hope to erase misconceptions and stereotypes related to autism as we believe that people with autism should not be shunned but be understood.

As of now, our participant count is almost in the 300s and we cannot wait for more to sign up! We believe it is crucial that people take the first step in being a voice for the children. Just by walking, we show families of children with autism that although we may never fully experience what they face, but we care, and that we want to make a difference in their lives by spreading awareness on autism!

It would be an exciting day! A day of fun with clowns, live music, our own therapists selling hand-made items, a kids’ corner for children, a warm-up exercises session by Daily Muscle Body Transformation Camp, lucky draw prizes and all hosted by Asha Gill, our very own multitalented artist as our emcee!

We are absolutely grateful for all our sponsors. Without them, this event could never be a success. Our sponsors include Skymolite (M) Sdn Bhd, an events equipment company, Plenitude Berhad, an investment holding company, Golden Arches Restaurant Sdn Bhd (Mcdonalds), TSL, a construction company, Says. My; People Powered Media, an online advertising company, Daily Muscle Body Transformation Camp, a health and fitness company, Cupcake Chic, Health Lane, a pharmacy, Skylace, a Mandarin language centre, Sekolah Kebangsaan Bukit Bandaraya, and several individuals.

Hence, the 28th of April will be a historic day for EAP Malaysia. It marks the beginning of us being a voice for the children, a day where we will walk in unison to necessary awareness on autism. This would be a day where people begin to ask more about autism -  the first step in understanding autism as a spectrum disorder.
